Terrestrial - hunting flies
The Terrestrials are large flies, they are used mainly in the summer months and in torrents, where the waters are turbulent, also used to stimulate the fish, when the surface activity is minimal or zero.
From the word terrestrial we understand that flies that normally mimic insects that do not originate in water are normally flies, so the flies will be imitations of:
- Bees
- Grasshoppers
- Beatles
- Spiders
- Ants
- Flies "of poop and fantasy"
The flies of hunting and fantasy classify them in the terrestrials because they are normally of large dimensions even if they do not imitate any insect, it is enough to take the royal wulff that although not imitating anything specifically remains an excellent dry fly.
