Ostrich feathers are very underrated for fly tying.
With a softness, lightness and sinuosity in the water have no equal, to be used for tie trout and pike streamer. Many are the uses of ostrich feathers, in addition to the use for making artificial streamers, they are excellent for tie dry flies. The fibers of these feathers, wrapped around the hook like the peacock, give life to very bulky bodies, suitable for excellent hunting flies.
