The mountain deer hair (moufflon) is excellent in fly tying, hollow hair similar to roe deer and other ungulates has a length of about 2cm, it is very soft to the touch and assembly of the flies and visually very rustic. Ideal to tie dry flies.
The side is on average light brown, about 2cm long and more rigid.
The back is longer (up to 4cm), dark brown and more rippled.
