Fly fishing day - wet flies settembre 2017

Day dedicated to tie wet flies and fly fishing with wet fly.

There were five participants in the fly tying day dedicated to wet flies on 15 September 2017.

Meeting at the Un Pugno di Mosche store, at 9:00 am, they carefully followed the instructions for tie the wet flies and building all the scheduled flies.

Four hours were devoted to this first part of the course on wet flies, offering as many as 7 tested and catching dressing, from the simplest spider to the more complex salmonfly-style winged flies.

In the afternoon, we then moved to the nearby Oglio river in the no-kill area of darfo boario terme. Once imparted the first notions on how to face the river with wet flies, the students immediately became familiar with this technique, which was less and less practiced but nevertheless very simple and functional. Every trainee has managed to catch some catches in the fishing hour, taking brown trout, one of which is really beautiful, a beautiful wild fish of about 40cm and then charging with enthusiasm for the results obtained.

Congratulations to the participants they are distinguished for attention and sympathy, a day of fun and education dedicated to our beloved passion, fly fishing. I hope that they will practice this fishing technique also in the future, improving their skills and overcoming their humble master. :-D
